The Chavez Family Vision Inc. Scholarship Program aims to provide financial assistance to qualified students in the following school districts: East Side Union High School District, San Jose Unified School District, Morgan Hill Unified School District, Gilroy Unified School District, San Benito High School  District, and Aromas-San Juan Unified School District, or any student in need.

Application Requirements:
  • Graduate this academic year (2024-2025) with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5.
  • Enroll or plan to enroll in a Western Associations of Schools and Colleges (WASC) accredited community college or university, leading to an Associate or Bachelor’s degree, by this coming Fall Semester/Quarter.

The Chavez Family Vision, Inc. Scholarship Program is dedicated to supporting the educational dreams of students from farmworker families, first-generation college students, and those requiring financial assistance to pursue higher education. Over the past 26 years, we have awarded over 50 scholarships, impacting countless lives and empowering the next generation of leaders.

Our scholarships prioritize candidates who demonstrate exceptional leadership through volunteerism and academic excellence, with a special emphasis on students pursuing STEM-related fields of study. We believe in fostering a culture of service, nonviolence, and public action, values deeply rooted in the legacy of Cesar E. Chavez, our founders, Librado Chavez, Rita Chavez Medina, and Eduwiges (Vicky) Chavez Lastra, and the Chavez Family.
